About the Project

The design team from Thailand under the supervision of the team from China, approached us to spot the main issues with the platform and give recommendations based on our expertise and on users feedback.

I led this multinational project, primarily utilizing usability testing to pinpoint critical problems and propose effective solutions.

Process

Evaluating a platform demands a deep grasp of the product and empathetic consideration for its users, a challenge magnified when the product is designed in a foreign language.

Step 1

KICK OFF + PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH

This step allowed us to uncover that despite the app being live, many of the platform’s user flows were not functioning as intended.

Step 2

PROBLEM-SOLVING

To meet the project timeline, we decided that their design team would need to create prototypes simulating the user flows that weren’t functional.

Step 3

METHODOLOGIES

We employed diverse methods such as remote Usability Tests, System Usability Scale, Single Ease questions, and Flow Ranking to comprehensively assess app functionality and user satisfaction.

Step 4

BRIEFING THAI MODERATORS AND TRANSLATOR

We crafted the guide in English but had Thai-speaking local moderators conduct the sessions, with real-time translation into English for stakeholders.
